I thank all the kind hearts I met while staying here in Gvozd. Your warm smiles and openness has been greatly appreciated. The friendly, excited, and glowing children around Suncokret, the school, and around town were delightfully curious and welcoming. I thank those hospitable people who offered food, drink, and warmth around Christmas and New Years. It was such a refreshing experience to celebrate these important holidays in a new place with fine human beings, away from the American norms and trends. This has been a tremendously rich experience for me – it will live on through my sharing of stories and tales with family, friends, and peers at school. Thank you!
