Švedski volonteri u Suncokretu

Hello Everybody!

My name is Erik Friman and I am a Swedish Senior student in the Swedish version of what you refer as Highschool. In our class called international relation we had an opportunity to go on a field trip. Our options of where to go were almost unlimited. Some of our classmates went to Spain, some to Latvia and, unfortunately, most of them stayed at home. But me and two guys in my class were very lucky, we managed to get in touch with the Swedish Ambassadors in Croatia and not too soon, we got to hear about Suncokret in Gvozd. The Volunteer-Centre caught our attention right away and we decided that this was the perfect place to go.

Even though our stay in Gvozd was short, the experience was invaluable. We had the unique opportunity to help out and contribute to the society of Gvozd and the future of the children who were staying at Suncokret. We tried to teach the children about our culture, language and Country, which as you may predict is very cold. But the reason that we came to Gvozd in the first place, was of course to learn more about your culture, language and Country. And boy did we learn much! Vhala for everything, people of Gvozd and not least you from Suncokret. Ps. Some of you guys from Suncokret will be the world champion in Ping-Pong.
Thank you.

Erik Friman
